Create atmospheric paintings using watercolour techniques. Capture mist, haze and light to convey different climatic conditions that can help give mood and interest to your paintings.

This workshop will include demonstrations and instruction by the tutor and time to work on your own paintings with individual help and feedback.


Set of water-based paints (watercolour, gouache or acrylic). Good quality ‘Bockingford’ watercolour paper (size A4 140lb (300gsm), ‘NOT’ (or cold pressed) surface), a variety of soft nylon watercolour brushes to include a flat (square ended), size ¾”, plastic Perspex or sheeting (or a plastic tray) large enough to fit A4 size paper, 2 pots for water, small water spray, flat palette, drawing board, masking tape, sketch pad, HB pencil, rubber, ruler, newspaper or plastic cover to protect tables. Glasses if required. Packed lunch.

Venue is on the ground floor and there is a car park next to the Community Centre. Tea and coffee will be available.
