Workshops can be tailored to the needs of groups such as art societies, Embroidery Guilds, Wildlife Trusts, W.I.s, colleges, art galleries and museums. Bespoke workshops I have previously run for groups have included: Perspective for Beginners; Flowers and Plants in Pen & Wash; Basic Techniques for Pastels; Winter Scenes in Watercolour; Composition; Mixed Media – Collage, oil pastels and Ink; Transfer Paint – Surfaces to Stitch; etc.

Training in Ecology
Courses for ecologists, nature conservation professionals, volunteers, rangers, academics etc. can be designed to meet specific training needs. These can be run at your workplace if preferred. I also offer on-the-job mentoring to train staff in particular aspects of ecology.
Subjects offered include plant, animal and fungi identification, survey methods including NVC National Vegetation Classification, Phase 1 Habitat Survey, River Habitat Survey and habitat management. Other topics include protected species survey such as great crested newt, bats, water vole, otter, badger, natterjack toad, invertebrates etc. Please contact Stuart Colgate MCIEEM to discuss your requirements.
Walks, Talks and Workshops
For interest groups I offer guided walks, illustrated talks and workshops on a wide variety of wildlife and wildflower subjects. I also offer to undertake surveys of gardens, local greens, churchyards, etc. on behalf of local groups.
